How did I end up here?
I consider myself to be a strong, smart, independent woman. Now here I sit. Wearing a gorgeous gown – like a princess or a prom queen – sitting in a utility closet bawling my eyes out. I can only imagine the makeup I spent 2 hours applying to perfection for this night is now streaking down my face, and I have puffy racoon eyes.
Life used to be so easy. I mean, if you had asked me a few years ago, I doubt I would have described it as easy, but that was before. Before things got messy and complicated. Before everything changed.
